I avoid recommending it empirically for colic alone — evidence favors L. reuteri in that scenario. And I always pair formula recommendations with hands-on feeding support: proper latch assessment for combo-fed babies, paced bottle-feeding technique coaching, and parental mental health screening (PHQ-2/PHQ-9), because caregiver stress independently worsens infant regulatory behaviors.

Ultimately, Amelyn reflects an important evolution in infant nutrition — moving beyond macronutrient sufficiency toward targeted microbiome modulation. But science advances incrementally, and every new ingredient demands ongoing scrutiny.
